The Primitivo grapes are harvested from the oldest vineyards located close to the Ionian Sea. They are grown with sapling-based vineyards that produce few but high quality grapes. Its colour is intensely ruby red with beautiful violet hues.
This wine has an elegant ruby-red colour and its intense smell has fruity nuances of ripe plums, cherries jam and a touch of cocoa.
The Golden Line of Papale originates from Primitivo grapes carefully selected and manually picked into cases.
Garnet intense cherry colour with violet rim. Bright and clean with dense tears. In nose hints of tomato leaf, anise and chamomile, evoke the land where the grapes ripen.
The wine is aged for six months in french oak barrels. Very easy to drink with red colour like cherries.
This wine comes from a vineyard planted by the grandfather on a terrace at 550 metres of altitude overlooking the River Ebro. He was described as “loco” (crazy) for planting in chalky, extremely poor soils.
Grapes are sourced from vineyards planted at 550m to 620m of altitude on clay-limestone soils in the village of Ábalos. Half of the wine is aged in 500-litre barrels, the other half in 225-litre casks.
Wine elaborated with the traditional method of the Rioja Alavesa area. Carbonic maceration, in wich the entire bunch is let to ferment, for the result of fruit style wines, without huge body but easy passing through the mouth.
