Chateau La Hase has a deep ruby color. The nose is intriguing and intense with notes of figs, truffles, plum jam, honey and cassis. Light body, moderate acidity, velvety structure and intense tannins. Fruity taste with notes of cassis, cherries, herbal notes.
In the 45-year-old Château La Hase the wine grapes grown are Merlot 60%, Cabernet Franc 20% and Cabernet Sauvignon 20%. Cultivation is BIO, with a traditional approach to avoid spraying herbicides, as well as manual harvesting. “La Hase” is a female hare, a name in honor of the owner’s grandfather and his proficiency in the art of hunting.
